Hogwarts Legacy Trailer, Release, Platforms and more
Hogwarts Legacy can likely be announced in a few days at the upcoming PlayStation event, as suggested by a former Lead Designer at Avalanche Software.
Hogwarts Legacy which happens to be Avalanche Software’s upcoming action RPG, has been a hot topic of discussion for quite some time now. Last month, a leaker with the name AccountNGT mentioned that “you can 100% expect a new trailer in March” for Hogwarts Legacy. One thing that needs tomentioned here is that AccountNGT has had a reputation for being responsible for many notorious leaks, including the title of Star Wars Eclipse before it was revealed.
That is not it, these claims were further concreted by Nick, another notorious leaker on Twitter. Nick also added that there would be a Playstation event in March. Now things seem to be falling into their respective places as suggestions have come from the former Lead Designer at Avalanche Software, Troy Leavitt.
While replying to a tweet regarding the Hogwarts Legacy trailer’s speculated release, Troy said that he is “neither confirming nor denying the rumor”. The tweet by Troy created alot of confusion among fans, however, it does seem likeTroy is hinting about the Hogwart Legacy trailer. Yesterday on SteamDB, playtesting was going on the new Warner Bros’ installment to the Batman series, Gotham Knights. All this leads to the anticipation of the rumored upcoming Playstation event, where we could see the Hogwart Legacy trailer, along with some updates on both Gotham Knights and God of War Ragnorak.
Some people are still not sure whether to believe the former Avalanche Software Lead Designer because of his controversial videos on YouTube of him resigning the company. There were some misunderstandings about Troy’s resignation from the Avalanche Software, but Troy cleared these in a 20-minute video titled “To My Friends at Avalanche”. In the video, he reveals that he left Avalanche Software due to some family issues, and the company did not fire or tell him to leave due to the controversies.
Based on all that information, the leaks on Twitter, and the rumored Playstation event happening this Thursday, we can assume that there is a chance that Sony will reveal the Hogwart Legacy trailer on March 10, 2022. Along with this, we can also expect the public beta or some updates on the new Gotham Knights. But again, these are just speculations and nothing more.
What platforms will Hogwarts Legacy be available for?
PlayStation’s next event is likely to reveal more information regarding the upcoming RPG Hogwarts Legacy. The game was announced back in 2020. Post that nothing much has been revealed about the game, fans can not hold their excitement as the game will be released in 2022. Until then, players can only make predictions and speculations about the title
Hogwarts Legacy was previously supposed to be launched in 2021. But due to internal delays and some unavoidable circumstances, the release date got shifted to 2022. There were rumors about further delay, but Warner Bros. confirmed that the game will be released in 2022.
The important catch here is that like any other big title, the game will be available on multiple platforms.
Avalanche Studios is developing the game under the publishing label Portkey Games, which manages the Wizarding World license. It was first announced at the September 2020 PlayStation 5 event after years of speculation and was confirmed for Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
The official description of the title states:
“Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world, single-player, action role-playing videogame (RPG) set in the 1800s wizarding world. The story has players experiencing life as a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry like never before, as they live the unwritten and embark on a dangerous journey to uncover a hidden truth of the wizarding world.”
