APPLE iPHONE 11(2020) REVIEW AND COMPARISON:
It has been almost a year since Apple launched the iPhone 11 series which consists of three devices, i.e, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 pro ,and iPhone 11 pro Max.
It is a rather late review of the three devices but, it is never too late to buy an iPhone. Let us talk about the design and specifications of the phone.
DESIGN:
By having a first look at them you will find them pretty much identical to there predecessor, the Apple iPhone XS, with the same notch, same size ,and same lightning pod.
In terms of design and specifications, the iPhone 11 pro and Pro Max are both the same with Pro Max being a bigger and taller version of the Pro variant.
Apart from the sizes and the battery life of the two phones, there is no other difference, whereas, a clear distinction can be drawn between the Pro models and the regular iPhone 11. The regular iPhone 11 is rather smaller in terms of design and also has a dearth of some of the features of the Pro models.
There are also some new colors, and iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max have glass mat finish as well, which gives them a more premium look and are much more resistant to fingerprints as compared to the regular iPhone 11.
The triple camera set up in the back of the Pro models is quite subjective, as some people find it cool, some people find it ugly and to some people, it hardly matters how it looks as long as it is capable of clicking some amazing pictures.
Lastly, the regular iPhone 11 has aluminum frame whereas, the Pro models have stainless steel frames which give them better protection.

POSITIVES:
- All three iPhones come with an IP68 rating, which makes them water-resistant. Moreover, Apple claims that the regular iPhone can stay 2 meters under the water for 30 minutes, whereas the Pro models can stay 4 meters under the water for the same time.
- Now, these phones have larger batteries compared to their predecessors, with Apple iPhone 11 having an extended battery life of 1 hour, 11 Pro for 4 hours ,and 11 Pro Max for 5 hours.
- As far as the display is concerned, the brightness and contrast ratio of the phones have been improved, along with the addition of a new Dark mode feature.
- Spatial audio supported by Dolby Atmos, make the speaker of the phone amazing.
- The Camera has always been the highest selling point of an iPhone. Now the front camera comes with next-gen HDR which makes the images sharper and brighter. Also, the selfie camera can now record 4K videos @ 60fps. Talking about the rear triple camera set up which is arguably the best camera in a smartphone clicks best portrait pictures and this time it also includes night mode, which happens to be one of the best night modes in a smartphone.
Negatives:
- Apart from the camera module, there are not many major changes in the design of the iPhone, where it has that same glass sandwich design and continues to carry that same notch for so many years and also the bezels are still too thick, which in this time and age seems a little outdated.
- The fast charger of 18W that comes with the Pro models, doesn’t even stand near to its competitors. The regular iPhone 11 does not even have a fast charger.
- The display resolution of the regular iPhone 11 doesn’t even reach 1080p, which isn’t justified at all, looking at the price of the device.
- These phones do not support 5g.
- Lastly, the price of the phone is way too high for an average customer, which makes it more like a luxury. Apart from the camera and the processor, there aren’t many major updates on the phones, which makes the price of the phone slightly unjustified.
