Sony takes down Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store
Cyberpunk 2077 removed from the PlayStation Store as confirmed by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
CD Projekt Red has responded to Sony taking down their RPG from the PlayStation Store and have reassured fans that they are working hard to bring the game back.
As per the official PlayStation website, Sony is pulling the game from the PlayStation Store, “until further notice” and is offering refunds to players that bought Cyberpunk 2077 on the PlayStation Store.
“SIE strives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, therefore we will begin to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store,” the Company said. They also added that, “SIE will also be removing the game from the PlayStation Store until further notice.”
However, it has been confirmed on the official Social media handles of Cyberpunk 2077, that the physical copies of the game will be available, and players can purchase them online or in stores. Moreover, the PlayStation version of the game will still receive updates.
Although Cyberpunk 2077 has largely received positive reviews, still technical issues remain a constant complaint. The game has received various accolades for its engaging storyline and vast, immersive world, but comes with quiet a few bugs and glitches.
Microsoft offers Refunds on Xbox
Microsoft had already started granting refunds to its vast majority customers, but now the company has made some modification to the policy, where refunds are being granted with a no-questions-asked clause until further notice.
Microsoft stated on its official Xbox support Twitter account that, they will be offering full refunds to anyone who purchased Cyberpunk 2077 digitally from the Microsoft Store. The announcements acknowledges that the game was finished in difficult circumstances, but also recognizes that the customers may not get the experience they seek from Xbox, with the older version of the game.
The offer applies to all the versions of the game purchased from Microsoft Store, which also includes the Xbox Series X version, which is arguably the second-best version after PC.
This offer shall not apply to the physical copies of the AAA game.
