GTA 6 is in development, may also feature Eminem and Rihanna
GTA 6 has finally been confirmed by Rockstar Games. However, the fans do not have the precise information as to when exactly the game will release. After years of wait and speculations, Rockstar has at last unveiled that development of GTA 6 is under process.
Grand Theft Auto 5 was first released in 2013. Rockstar Games developers have finally confirmed that they are working on the next edition of the iconic video game.
The company made an announcement on Friday that fans can finally hold their breath for “GTA6.”
“With every new project, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we’ve previously delivered. We’re pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the series is underway,” the company wrote on Twitter.
For years, GTA fans have been requesting Rockstar to release some details of the next installment in epic video game series.
In a blog post this week Rockstar Games announced that work on GTA 6 was “well underway“.
The GTA makers said: “With the unprecedented longevity of GTA V, we know many of you have been asking us about a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series. With every new project we embark on, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we have previously delivered — and we are pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway. We look forward to sharing more as soon as we are ready, so please stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for official details.“
“On behalf of our entire team, we thank you all for your support and cannot wait to step into the future with you!”
While this is the news that GTA fans have been waiting for, it’s still unclear when the GTA 6 release date will be.
With Grand Theft Auto 5, the hit adventure starring Michael, Franklin and Trevor ended up arriving in stores two years after the first trailer debuted.
So, given past timescales it still might be awhile till GTA 6 actually ends up releasing.
And a wait of a few more years would be in keeping with previous rumours.
Last year leaker Tom Henderson – known for his Call of Duty and Battlefield leaks – dropped a truckload of alleged leaked info about GTA 6.
It’s been claimed that GTA 6 will see a return to Vice City, that the game will have an evolving world a la Fortnite and that there will be multiple playable characters including the first ever female GTA protagonist.
Henderson also claimed that Rockstar were hoping to release GTA 6 once more PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles were in people’s homes to maximise sales.
And, given the current stock situation of the PS5 and Xbox Series X, it may be a while till we see GTA 6 in the market.
In terms of a release date, Henderson previously said the GTA 6 release date could be in 2023 or 2024.
But the leaker said that release date window might be a little early, and the fourth quarter of either 2024 or 2025 could be when we see the next Grand Theft Auto drop.
Grand Theft Auto 6 may feature Pop Stars Eminem and Rihanna
Matheus Victor, who tweets Rockstar leaks, has said the musicians will feature in the GTA 6 in-game radio station.
The translated tweet reveals a handful of artists that will reportedly be featured in the game.
“Something internal was revealed to me recently, but I can’t say much.”
He goes on to say that he’s discovered “some songs from some radio stations that may be present in the next title in the Grand Theft Auto franchise”.
The tracks were apparently in the alpha version of the radio station in 2019.
He lists four songs total, including ‘Numb’ by Rihanna feat. Eminem.
The track was released in 2012, and is one of the most recently released of the bunch.
‘Disparate Youth’ by Santigold, which came out in the same year, is also set to appear on the radio.
‘Odessa’ by Caribou, which debuted in 2010, joins the two songs.
