PS Plus Games for April 2022 Announced
PS Plus Games for April 2022 have been confirmed — and a lot of people do get excited anytime any such announcement is made. So let’s take a look, shall we?
These are the PS Plus games for April 2022:
Hood: Outlaws & Legends (PS5, PS4)
Hood: Outlaws & Legends is an action video game developed by Sumo Newcastle and published by Focus Home Interactive.
Hood: Outlaws & Legends is a multiplayer action video game played from a third-person perspective. The player assumes control of an outlaw who must infiltrate a keep of an authoritarian power named the State, and compete against a rival team to steal the treasure hidden in the keep’s vault. The player can form a group of four in order to pull off the heist, which has three phases. The first phase requires the player to steal the key from the Sheriff of Nottingham, a boss character in the game. Once the player acquires the key, they are given clues regarding the location of the vault, though the opponent team would also be notified. Stealth is essential, as guards may call for reinforcements and close off certain areas, blocking access to the vault. The opponent team can also observe the behaviors of the AI and pinpoint the location of the opposite team.[source]
Slay the Spire (PS4)
Slay the Spire is a roguelike deck-building video game developed by American studio MegaCrit and published by Humble Bundle.
In Slay the Spire, the player, through one of four characters, attempts to ascend a spire of multiple floors, created through procedural generation, battling through enemies and bosses. Combat takes place through a collectible card game-based system, with the player gaining new cards as rewards from combat and other means, requiring the player to use strategies of deck-building games to construct an effective deck to complete the climb.[source]
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated (PS4)
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom is a platform video game based on the Nickelodeon animated series SpongeBob SquarePants, developed by Heavy Iron Studios and published by THQ
All versions of the game feature an original storyline, in which the player attempts to defend Bikini Bottom from an invasion of robots created by Plankton with a machine called the Duplicatotron 3000, playing as SpongeBob in all versions, as well as Patrick and Sandy in the console versions.[source]
Yes for some people this reveal might not be that exciting, however, it’s worth pointing out that Slay the Spire and SpongeBob are both pretty good games in their own right. Meanwhile, Hood is one of those competitive-co-op hybrids that never really took off, despite some decent reviews. Hopefully it gets a new lease on life thanks to PS Plus.
All three games will be available to download from Tuesday 5th April.
