Before we list out the top five non-Chinese smartphones, we have to acknowledge the fact that Chinese smartphones are some of the best phones in the world and for a very long time have influenced the International market.

Big Chinese brands like Oneplus, Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, Realme, etc,  have had huge sales across the world. Be it in any segment; Flagship, Premium, Mid-range, or low price, these mobile phones have clearly shown their dominance.

In this post we are going to check out, what options do we have when we think of high end smartphones with some amazing features and specifications, and which are Non-Chinese.

Smartphones are more than just phones in today’s world. A smartphone has become a necessity just like food shelter and clothes.

Many businesses are conducted and managed, high graphic games are played ,and of course who needs a DSLR when you have such high definition cameras on your phone.

Phones are no more a mere calling devices. Its like having the entire world in your palm, so you might as well spend some extra bucks if you want such great features.

1. SAMSUNG GALAXY S20/S20 PLUS/S20 ULTRA:

Chinese or Non-Chinese, all of the S20 models are the best Smartphones you can find in the market as of now.

There Snapdragon 865 processor makes them the fastest in the android world. Along with that, these phones give you 120Hz butter-smooth screens which would make you feel phones having 60Hz screens as obsolete and antiquated.

And how can we forget about their cameras? Their multi-camera system which also comes with 100X zoom is one thing that is unique and exclusive. It is arguably the highest megapixel camera phone as well.

2. SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 10 PLUS:

The Note 10 plus which came last year is another flagship smartphone of Samsung and has to be a part of this list of non-Chinese smartphones. Most of the people were not impressed with Note 9 as they felt that there weren’t many changes done from Note 8. But last year Samsung made sure that they rectify their mistake.

Note 10 was expected to have some massive changes and improvements and I am glad to say that it has surely lived up to the expectations and beyond.

There is a significant upgrade in various areas such as battery life, display, sound, charging speed, processor, camera, etc. One thing that you might miss in this magnificent smartphone is a 3.5mm headphone jack. But to compensate that Samsung has retained the microSD slot and the exclusive s-pen which has got some upgrades and has some new features.

All in all Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus with a fairly big screen and a body with curved edges and minimal bezels has some amazing specs.

3. APPLE iPhone 11 PRO/ PRO MAX:

Apple iPhone has always been the epitome of innovation in terms of features. Due to these amazing features and the brand value of Apple there is so much buzz around every time an iPhone is launched. Moreover, on can not exclude this phone when talking about Non-Chinese.

The iPhone 11 Pro and Pro max are successors of iPhone XS and XS Max. Well in comparison to their prequels they are just as big with similar designs and look pretty much the same.

But don’t let these similarities get you to a conclusion. These phones have come up with some upgraded performance, some cool camera improvements, bigger batteries ,and of course the new Apple U1 wideband chip.

The all-new iPhone 11 Pro has an increase in battery capacity by 20%, whereas 11 Pro Max sees a 25% bump. The A13 Bionic chip is claimed to be faster and better than last year’s A12.

The new triple camera set up may not appeal to the eye but it surely is something to look out for, as it comes with some updated features such as night mode and 4K capturing at 60 frames per second, plus you can use all four cameras including selfie camera at once. Motorola has been in the game for years, but for some reason, in the last couple of years, it has not been able to come up with some amazing phones. While its contemporaries and rivals were making some incredible flagship premium phones, Motorola had its attention on creating and developing mid-range phones.

But this time Motorola has made sure that they up their game and go a notch higher with Edge Plus which is their first flagship in years and it has to be ranked in the list of top five non-Chinese smartphones.

Since Motorola Mobiles is owned by Lenovo which is a Chinese company, it would slightly controversial to consider it an absolute Non-Chinese smartphone.

It is surely an impressive phone with a 6.7-inch display which is curved to the edges and even beyond as the name suggests. The scrolling is super smooth with a 90hz refresh rate which makes it enjoyable to use. However, you can tone that down to 60hz to save battery consumption.

It also comes with some very exclusive and distinctive features such as lighting up of the screen edges if the phone is placed over a table or something just so you know there is a notification or maybe, when you plug in a charger. You can also turn off the edges by double-tapping on it if you are not comfortable using it. These specs make this smartphone justify its title of being a flagship.

5. SONY XPERIA 1 II:

Well, Xperia 1 Mark 2 or simply, Xperia 1 II is the new flagship phone of Sony which is a sequel to last year’s Sony Xperia 1. Though Mark II looks pretty similar to last year’s Xperia 1, it has some major upgrades in terms of its performance which makes it user friendly yet professional and stands at par with various other flagship smartphones.

Talking about the design, there have made some minor changes from its predecessor such as, now the phone is 0.5mm thinner, the top bezel has been slightly trimmed out, the camera module has been moved to the side and the side power button has been merged with the fingerprint scanner.

This phone comes with the protection of Gorilla Glass 6 in the front and the back but still feels very slippery holding in hand, so you might want to consider keeping it in a case if you wish to scroll all over its tall design. Xperia 1 II has 4k resolution and the very precise 21:9 screen aspect ratio gives you an excellent movie viewing experience.

Now this Non-Chinese smartphone by Sony has a bigger battery of 4000mAh which can also be charged using wireless charging.

As far as the camera is concerned, it aspires to mimic Sony’s very own Alpha A9, where you get ultra-fast autofocus, 20fps shooting, and quick sensor readout as well.

This phone has an updated chipset, updated CPU, super impressive camera features, but one thing that this phone lacks is a better refresh rate. Where all the other phones have moved up to 90hz and 120hz refresh rate Sony is still relying on 60hz of refresh rate. Maybe this is their technique of assuring less battery consumption.

Mark II also happens to have IP65/68 dust and water-resistant rating, but one feature which makes this phone exclusive as no other flagship smartphone has it in 2020, is 3.5mm headphone jack which could be a single reason to buy this phone.
