Trek to Yomi – 5th May
Trek to Yomi is an upcoming side-scrolling action game developed by Flying Wild Hog and published by Devolver Digital. Based in Japan and set in the Edo period, the game follows a young warrior named Hiroki who goes on a journey to confront the people responsible for the destruction of his village.
We Were Here Forever – 10th May
We Were Here is a franchise of cooperative first-person adventure video games, created by the Dutch studio Total Mayhem Games. The We Were Here games are cooperative first-person adventure games with puzzle elements. In each game there are two players who take on a different role. They must work together to solve puzzles, generally while in different rooms and unable to see the other. Each player has a walkie-talkie to communicate with the other, which is what allows them to solve the puzzles they face.

Yurukill: The Calumniation Game – 25th May
Renowned author Homura Kawamoto delivers a twisted, multifaceted story in Yurukill. Accused of arson and the murders of 21 people, protagonist Sengoku Shunju is forced to fight for his freedom and prove his innocence. As one of six Prisoners, he must pair up with one of five victims, referred to as Executioners, within the confines of the strange and secluded amusement park known as Yurukill Land. Together each of the five teams—Mass Murderers, Death Dealing Duo, Crafty Killers, Sly Stalkers, and Peeping Toms—must face and overcome the entertainment venue’s so-called “attractions” in order to attain what they desire. Should the Prisoners succeed, their crimes shall be pardoned. But if the Executioners win, they will be granted revenge for their loved ones.

Pac-Man Museum + is an upcoming compilation title featuring games from the Pac-Man series, being a sequel to the 2014 compilation title Pac-Man Museum. The compilation is developed by Now Production and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment and is scheduled to release in May 2022.
Kao the Kangaroo – 27th May
Kao the Kangaroo (Polish: Kangurek Kao) is a series of platformer video games developed and published by Polish studio Tate Multimedia, and starring the titular character called Kao a young kangaroo native to Australia. While it was largely active in the early 2000’s before going on indefinite hiatus, the series was revived in 2020 for its 20th anniversary.
The May 2022 PlayStation Plus collection includes EA Sports FIFA 22 and two roguelike games, as well as Reaper’s Curse and Tribes of Midgard. It remains to be seen how well these titles will be received, but it should also be noted that many fans were quite disappointed with the free PS Plus games for the April 2022 lineup. Required if accurate, it will likely resonate with many players as they’ll be able to try the games earlier to buy them, but the developers may not be as happy as it’s extra work on top of the already tedious game development process.
