Introduction
Xiaomi Mi 11 was launched a couple of days ago after months of anticipation.
Mi 11 is the all new flagship smartphone by Xiaomi, which is quiet likely to be a very strong contender for being the ultimate smartphone along with devices like, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max.
The Global debut of this flagship smartphone happened a few weeks after than the Chinese launch, however, the international version of this Chinese flagship smartphone was missing which will be released in some time.
This time Xiaomi has made sure to bring in some reasonable amount of changes in there next-generation flagship phone by introducing for the very first time Snapdragon 888 processor in this device.
Besides that, Mi 11 also has a larger 6.81″ AMOLED screen with a higher 1440p resolution and faster 120Hz refresh rate than Mi 10. Moreover, Xiaomi Mi 11 supports HDR10+, and 10 bit color, which means Mi 11 can display 1 billion colors, and maximum brightness of 1500 nits.
And if that wasn’t enough, then Xiaomi Mi 11 apart from having an amazing looking and insanely performing triple camera set up, comes with an updated waterproof stereo speakers which has been tuned by Harman/Kardon for maximum experience.
Lastly, it carries a 4600 mAh battery that has been split into two parts so that it can be charged both wired and wirelessly at 55W and 50W respectively.
Design and Build
Xiaomi Mi 11 is no different from other flagship smartphones these days.
Th all new Mi 11 gets a curved design with the protection of Gorilla Glass Victus in the front and Gorilla Glass 5 in the back. Apart from that the aluminum frame keeps the device together.
In case you are bored of using these glass devices than you could also go for a variant of this phone which gets an eco-leather back with two color options- Gold and Violet. It could be a good alternative to the regular glass phones.
Keeping the custom alive the new Xiaomi Mi 11 is not officially waterproof just like its predecessors and all other Xiaomi phones. However, it has been revealed that it does come with ingress protection around the stereo speakers and SIM slot. So you may use the device during some minor rain.
Though, the Mi 11 is just 1mm thinner than Mi 10, it looks significantly thinner compared to its prequel. Moreover, it is quiet curved around the sides giving it a more premium look, but makes it slightly slippery in hand.
Talking about ports and buttons, then there is a speaker grill, microphone, USB Type-C and SIM card tray at the bottom and on the top you get a secondary noise cancelling microphone, stereo speaker grill and IR blaster. On the right you’ll find volume rocker and power button, whereas the left side of the phone has been left empty.
Covered by glass and placed on an aluminum piece, the triple camera setup in the back looks captivating and the front selfie notch camera isn’t bad at all.
The highlight of this device is the color scheme, and the best and the most marketed scheme of theme all is the Horizon Blue. It has an aurora-like effect going from silver towards light blue and has this cool yet subtle shimmer when light reflections are in play. Other colors include, Midnight black, Cloud White, Special Edition Blue, Gold Eco-Leather, and Violet Eco-Leather.
Camera Performance
Xiaomi Mi 11 gets a triple camera setup in the back with 108MP Wide-angled camera, 13MP Ultrawide camera and 5MP Telemacro lens supported by LED Flash.
In the front you get a 20MP selfie camera with f/2.4 Apperature.
As far as the features are concerned then you get tons of camera features in the flagship smartphone. But the best of them all is the BlinkAI Night Video.
Furthermore, you can record 8K videos at up to 30fps and 4K videos at up to 60fps. The UI of the camera is also fantastic.
